The Eternal Plan Of Love

Let's go back to God in eternity, before anything was created. There, the eternal being, living in the sufficiency of Himself. This eternal being is love (1John 4:7), and love must have an object upon which it would be poured out. Love must have something upon which it would express itself. God desired to have an object of love, another being upon which He would pour out Himself. This desire pushed God to began creation. You see, the very essence of creation is to have man, the object of God's love. Do you know what this means? It means God began creation just so He can have you and love you. You are created to be the object of God’s love.

The very essence of your existence is so God would have something upon which He would pour out His love. Do you know that feeling, when you are alone and you have no one to love, no one to give your passion, to care for, to be responsible for, to be concern about, you are just alone in your own world. And do you also know that sweet feeling, when you are in love, that feeling of joy. You feel fulfilled, you feel like this is what life is all about. You just want to spend the rest of your life loving this person, you never want to go back to that state where you have no one to love. If you do understand this feelings then you would be able to understand why God desperately needs an object of love. He created man for this purpose, He realized life would be more fun if he has you. He wants to have you, He wants to pour out  His love on you.

"Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love." (Eph 1:4).

This plan of God was conceived before creation, it is the very purpose of creation. Everyone needs to experience love, and this very thing was including in God's plan even before the creation of the world. God created man to desire love and intimacy so that this need would bring us back to Him. The desire to experience love is not meant to bring you into works, but to cause you to come to the One who created you for the purpose of loving you. When darkness came it took away wisdom making it difficult for us to realize this truth.

"Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News." (2 Cor 4:4).

The darkness prevents us from seeing that God created us to experience His love, it prevents us from going back to God. All darkness does is cause us to fall deeper and deeper into enslavement. God conceived a plan before creation and that plan will get you all the emotional satisfaction you desire. His plan is to cause us to experience love, to experience what it means to be the apple of someone's eye, to be someone's beloved, someone's heartbeat. Look at Adam in the garden of Eden, God poured out His love on him by giving him a partner to love him. When you give yourself to God, and come into His rest He would not only love you, but He would cause others to love you. He would give you a spouse that would carry his love for you, He would bring people your way, people who would be instruments through which God expresses His love for you. You would be surrounded with people who love you with the love of God. It is far better to have people who loves you with God's love,  than people who loves you with mere human, carnal love.

God loves is eternal, He loves you because of who He is. He is love, His nature is to love and that is the very reason why he loves you. Imagine you are surrounded with people who loves you simply because it is who they are. You may change, you may do really bad things, but there love for you remains strong, because it was never based on who you are. They would love you as long as they are God's children, their love is not based on anything you do but on who they are — they were born of Love (God) and love is their nature. Hence, you don't need to do anything to make them keep loving you. That weight is taken of off you, you don't have to do any work, you are left to rest and enjoy this rest. This is the plan that God has in eternity, He would cause you to have rest.
