Christ Is Everything

"and by Him [Christ] to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross." (Col 1:20 NKJV)
"So spacious is he, so roomy, that everything of God finds its proper place in him without crowding. Not only that, but all the broken and dislocated pieces of the universe—people and things, animals and atoms—get properly fixed and fit together in vibrant harmonies, all because of his death, his blood that poured down from the cross." (Col 1:19-20 MSG)
When Jesus died he didn't just reconciled man to God but he also reconciled the whole creation to God. God reconciled man to Himself by putting man in Christ so that man and Christ become one. So also, God had reconciled the whole creation to Himself by summing them up into Christ.
"He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth." (Eph 1:10 MSG)
As a result (for us Christians) there is no longer things but now what exist is only one thing and that thing is a person, it is Christ.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." (Gal 5:22-23)
Notice the word used is 'fruit' and not 'fruits'. This means love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control are one single fruit. This is because love is joy, joy is peace, peace is longsuffering, longsuffering is kindness and so on; they are not different things but only one thing and that thing is Christ. Christ is joy, promotion, goodness, wisdom, wealth, fame, power, success, grace, faith and everything. Everything had been summed up into Christ therefore when we are pursuing Christ we would also find happiness, fame, wisdom, power, holiness, prosperity, success etc because they are all in Christ. How wonderful is it! we don't have to spend our life pursuing many things, we can now pursue only one thing and find everything, yes we can pursue only Christ and yet find everything we ever need.
