In this post I will be going deeper into the things of the spirit, the things of the unseen. Christ is the God who is spirit manifesting as flesh. The real substance of Christ is spirit, hence in studying Christ we must look at the substance in the spirit and how it manifest itself in the physical. In this post we are looking at the Ecclesia. The Ecclesia is Christ, she is the body of Christ. She is of the same substance with Christ, embodying the same principles as that of Christ. With that in mind let us move on to the topic.
"You have not come to a physical mountain, to a place of flaming fire, darkness, gloom, and whirlwind, as the Israelites did at Mount Sinai. For they heard an awesome trumpet blast and a voice so terrible that they begged God to stop speaking. They staggered back under God’s command: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death.” Moses himself was so frightened at the sight that he said, “I am terrified and trembling.” No, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to countless thousands of angels in a joyful gathering. You have come to the assembly of God’s firstborn" (Heb 12:18-23).
We have not come to a physical mountain, we are reaching out beyond the physical to go to heaven and meet at a spiritual Mount Zion. Our meeting is not a physical one, we are not assembling at a physical point but a spiritual one located in heaven. The Ecclesia is the assembly of the called out ones, but this assembly is not a physical one. Yes the meeting is not a physical one!
Like I stated from the beginning of this post, the ecclesia is a spiritual substance that must be manifested in the physical. It is spiritual in nature, the assembly, the meeting is not a physical meeting. We are to assemble at a spiritual place. For too long we have assume it to be a physical meeting and we put up a physical place to meet and when we assemble at that place we say we are doing church. That is far from the truth, that is a false assumption, we have assume the ecclesia to be a physical meeting. The real ecclesia is gathering at a point in heaven and fellowship together there.
Yes, we are to meet at a point in heaven. Although you have gathered physically but you are not yet in ecclesia, you need to, in togetherness, reach out into the spirit and meet at a point in heaven. Our aim is to gather at Mount Zion and enjoy fellowship together, while at the same time manifesting that fellowship in the physical space and time. At some point in my walk with God, as He was teaching me about the Ecclesia, I just realized that each time I close my eyes to pray with a group of believers I just get caught up in a frequency, a dimension, or a point in the spirit. I could see the other believers at different frequency in the spirit, scattered all over, and I can't fellowship with them.
I get frustrated because I really want to fellowship with them but we are not assembled together, each one is reaching out to God through a private frequency. Over the centuries Christianity have developed into an individualistic thing. We emphasize on personal salvation and personal race, and we've lose grip on the real ecclesia, the togetherness. That Individualism is affecting us spiritually, we may not know it but it is depriving us from truly experiencing the Ecclesia.
Through these spiritual experiences, I have discovered that most of the time when we pray together as a group we storm heaven through different frequencies, individual frequencies. That is not fellowship, it is not praying as a body. Let me use an analogy to expantiate, let's say we want to have a meeting not in a physical place but on the telephone (a conference call), and then each of us begins to call the office at Lagos Island in our individual phones and networks, and we think we are having a conference call. Yes, that is how funny it is.
Conference call don't work that way. There have to be a conference bridge where every one of us must come into, and then through that one bridge we meet. You cannot use your individual connections, you must know the conference bridge and come into it. The person in charge can summon each one of us through a call and if you refuse to pick that call, and instead use another phone to call the person, it simply would not work. You just have to go through the conference bridge.
To meet together and fellowship as a body (to manifest and express that woman above, the heavenly Jerusalem) we cannot just storm heaven through our individual frequencies in the spirit. And it is ignorance to assume that just because we are in the same room we are in fellowship. The Lord is greater than space and time, hence space and time does not determine fellowship, it is the Spirit that does.
The Spirit summons us into the bridge, the meeting point in Mount Zion, and we must all converge at that place (a spiritual point). It is only when we have successed in converging at that spiritual place can fellowship truly take place. The Ecclesia is a spiritual thing, we are to worship God in spirit. The house of God, the temple, it is spirit. We must stop focusing on just the nature and start looking into the spirit. When we gather physically, we must pay attention to the Spirit and detect the frequency, the meeting point, and then we must all assemble at that meeting point in the spirit, then express that spiritual meeting in the realm of the physical — that is ecclesia.
If the post doesn't make much sense to you it is probably because it is built upon other post. So I will advise you to read these other posts:
