The Riches Of God Upon His Sons

When you see a rich kid you will almost immediately know that he is coming from a wealthy family. The tone of his sink, the way he looks (like someone who has been eating well), the things he has (lacking nothing), even down to luxurious things that surrounds him. There is always a show of wealth, as long as the father is not a stingy man. If the father is so wealthy, loves his children so much, and his a very generous man, you will surely find traces of wealth on his children.

Hey, our God is rich, he is rich in glory, in power, in wisdom, in righteousness, in holiness, in grace, he is rich in all things and we are his sons. If our relationship with God is truly right, if we are living in his household, then his riches and wealth will rub off on us.

There is no way to escape in, you can't spend so much time in his presence without having all those wealth showing on you. Oh may we have sons who live in the household of the Father, not those who are living in the land of dead religion, working like laborer and slaves, like those who are under the curse.

"the ground is cursed because of you. All your life you will struggle to scratch a living from it. It will grow thorns and thistles for you, though you will eat of its grains. By the sweat of your brow will you have food to eat until you return to the ground from which you were made. For you were made from dust, and to dust you will return.” (Gen 3:17-19).

Yes, that is what we see in the dead religion of man; struggle and struggle and struggle, yet nothing to show for it. Despite all the struggling you are still looking poor and wretched, you barely have enough of what you need. You barely have enough holiness to stand out in this perverse world, you barely have enough righteousness to overcome the temptation pressing upon you daily, you barely have enough wisdom to trump the foolishness all around you, you barely have enough glory to testify that you are of the divine, there is barely enough power to do the work of God, there is barely enough of anything you need yet you continue to struggle and work so hard.

That is dead religion for you, it is under that curse that came upon Adam when he sinned and died. It is sad that many sons have become captive in the land of dead religion. Oh, if only we have more sons who have find their way to the Father, sons who have made the Father's presence their home. When we have more of such people than the world would look at us, and with no argument at all, they will affirm that indeed there is a God and He is rich, full, supreme and superior over all. May the Lord's glory radiate through us in all its fullness.
