Death is what rules the world, but Jesus came and defeated death, overcame the world, and then gave us the faith (a system of belief) that overcomes the world. What he did through his death and resurrection was to establish a faith (system of belief) that overcomes the world, and then he gave us this faith so that as we practice it we would become filled with life, eliminating every death in us and gain freedom from the reign of death.
“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” (1John 5:4-5).
It is only those belonging to this faith that overcomes the world, only those who have receive this faith that Jesus came to give. He said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10). If this faith is practice rightly it would get us so full of life that there would be no room for death in us, and then like Jesus we would say, “the ruler of the world is coming and he has no claim on me. [he has nothing in common with me; there is nothing in me that belongs to him, and he has no power over me.” (John 14:30 AMP). This faith is meant to bring us to this stage where we can boldly make this statement, it is meant to make us overcomers. This faith would cause us to overcome through the in-filling of life. Practicing this faith means practicing being filled with life. Our faith is all about the pursuit of life till this life fills us completely, eliminate death and makes us overcomers.
If we are to practice this faith correctly then we would be a people organized for the pursuit of life. Yes, that is what the ecclesia is, it is a people gathered together, organized for the pursuit of life. Their goal is to get life, and get so much life that they become completely filled with it, leaving no room for death. They are a people organize to eliminate death in their members. No, they are not a people doing religion, or trying to make their members happy, or more blessed. We are not a people gathered to make the members feel loved and to pet each other with the things of the world.
This is a place of war; fierce, brutal, bloody war, as we exterminate death inside each and every one of us, searching and hunt it down wherever it may be hiding inside of us. Oh, death is good at disguising itself, it would appear so normal that we are unable to notice it and its ugliness. Yes, it is good at hiding in plain sight, and we struggle to recognize it because all our lives, from generation to generation, we have been living with death and it has become so normal to us that we think it is ought to be there. We are unable to see that this thing is strange, it is alien, it ought not to be there, it should be brought down, killed and exterminated.
Oh, it would take God’s grace for us to see death in it hiding place and recognize it, and know that it ought not to be there. It would take immerse light and an eye watched in the river of life to be able to recognize every death in our member. This is why we must immerse ourselves deeply into Christ, get lost in him, let his light flood our heart till it becomes pure enough to sight and recognize every impurity. They say it is only when you become super familiar with the original that you will be able to recognize any fake no matter the form it takes. And how can we become familiar with the original when all we see around us is fake?
This would require us to dip ourselves deep into Christ and get lost there, become super familiar with the reality in Christ, and then when you come out and look you will easily sight and recognize that which is death disguising as part of life, trying to appear normal. When we come to realize this is what we are meant to do, this is our calling, this is the faith that we are to practice, then we would focus on this and specialize in it. We would specialize in recognizing death, hunting it down and eliminating it. We would specialize in getting each other filled completely with life. Oh, please just wake up and see that this is it, this is what we ought to be doing.
