"Christ is the visible image of the invisible God." (Col 1:15).
"The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God," (Heb 1:3).
"If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!” Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me." (John 12:7-10).
The sons exists to represent the Father, and they do this by expressing him. They exists to stand as the visible image of the invisible God; to be the voice of the Father, and the expression of His nature. Look around you, this world needs God. They need to hear God's voice, they need his direction and counsel. They need to see God's works, to see answers to prayers. And they need to see God's nature, to experience pure and true love (one that is totally heavenly), to experience sincere kindness, gentleness, wisdom and etc.
The world need to have God walk the earth, and the sons are the vessels for that. The sons are to represent God on earth, this is what we are called to do—yes, every one of us who are Christians. Wherever we are we ought to represent God. Jesus said, "If you have seen me you have seen the Father, for he is the one speaking and doing through me" (paraphrase from John 12:7-10). This ought to be our goal in living the Christian life. We should desire to come to a point where the Father is always speaking through us and doing through us.
Wherever we are we should desire to represent the Father. People needs to hear God's voice. Life is tough and people are struggling a lot, dealing with so much. And God wants to give them counsel, he wants to ease their pain, he wants to tell them he knows what they are going through and he loves, and wants them to know that he is willing to help. People need to hear these things and God wants to say it to them. You are the vessel standing in the gap to ensure that they hear what God wants to say to them. This is why he has given us the prophetic.
Look at the person next to you, there is something bothering him/her, and there is something that God wants to tell him/her, something that would really bless them, and might even transform their lives forever. Do you love that person as God loves you? If you do, you would be so eager to come in the gap and represent God in that person's life. Yes, you will be eager to tell the person that God knows exactly what he/she is thinking, and God cares and wants to help. You would be eager to give a word of knowledge (a word about something about the person that only God would have known) and a word of wisdom (a divine counsel on how to go about certain things based on the knowledge of the future).
Well, that is for the area of the prophetic. There are people that need answers to certain prayers. They have been praying to God that he should heal them, provide for them, touch their hearts and transform their lives. You are meant to represent God and to be the vessel through which God will do these works. You are to stand in the gap and answer their prayers by healing them, providing for them, touch their hearts with the power and nature of God, and bring a radical transformation to their lives. The world feels that God doesn't answer prayers, and this is because the sons who are meant to be the answer to those prayers are sleeping.
We can't continue this way. Oh let the sons arise and take up their responsibility. Let the world know that indeed there is a God who is all-loving, all-powerful, and all-sufficient for every of their needs. There is not a prayer he can't answer. Yes, let God walk the earth through the sons. And let the people see the sons and exclaim, "Yes we have seen God". For this is what we are called to be; and may we come to that point where we can boldly say, "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father".
