In the previous post (law of intimacy) I explained that your interaction with anything in the reality in Christ should be governed by the law of union and intimacy. It's all about relationship, however we much define this relationship and understand our role in it. There are different kinds of relationship, but the one we are concern with here is a marriage relationship. We are married to Christ, he the husband, the head. Yes, his role in this relationship is head. He head over us, he is our Lord. We are in a relationship with everything that constitute that reality called Christ. And in this relationship, that which is Christ is the Lord.
"Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God... For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption." (1Cor 1:24,30).
If Christ is our Lord, and Christ is the power of God, then the power of God is our Lord. If Christ is our Lord, and Christ is the wisdom of God, then the wisdom of God is our Lord. Holiness is your Lord, grace is your Lord, you cannot treat grace anyhow. You must bow to grace, you must submit to grace and let grace rule over you. Salvation, redemption, healing, providence, faith, and everything that is found in this reality call Christ is our Lord. In the relationship you have with these things they are Lord. As such you must submit to them and let them lord over you.
"Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living... Now you must give yourselves to be slaves to righteous living so that you will become holy." (Rom 6:16,19).
The more you submit to the Lord, the more you are apprehended by him. You must submit yourself to the righteousness in you, and become slave to him. You can't claim you are the righteousness of God, that Christ is all the righteousness you need, for he is the righteousness that lives in you, but yet you continue to rebel against this righteousness. Yes, every time you sin you are rebelling against Christ your righteousness. If truly he is your Lord then you must bow to his reign, you must allow righteousness reign in you.
Submit to the righteousness in you and he would be able to express himself through you. Submit to the power of God in you and he will be able to manifest himself through you. Stop insisting on your own way, just submit to the wisdom of God in you, and you will become filled with wisdom. It requires submission to the Lord to manifest the things of Christ. If you submit to the providence of God he will ask you to do certain things. He could ask you to give out gifts or money, and it may not make sense to you, but just obey. When you do, then he can manifest himself in your life—yes your life will be filled with supernatural provisions.
"Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you. Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living." (Rom 6:16-18).
It's all about yielding yourself. The more you do, the more he grows stronger and stronger in you until he completely takes over. Yes, you will become a slave to righteousness, a slave to love, a slave to wisdom, to power, grace, supernatural supply, faith, etc. When you come to this point then he manifest himself without limit. There would be no limit to the measure of love you would be able to demonstrate, there would no limit to the measure of righteousness you can express, there would be no limit to the greatness of power you can manifest, and all these dimensions of God would freely find expression in you without limit.
